Job Description

Snow is looking for a high energy, charismatic, innovative, creative, and collaborative product marketer to help stimulate growth and impact customer retention within their cloud management business. In this role, you will own product marketing for Snow’s cloud management platform, Snow Commander.

Product marketing is a highly strategic organization at Snow and you will work cross-functionally with Leaders across the business to reduce friction in the buying process and help our customers reach their business outcomes. Snow’s Product Marketing organization brings new products to market, owns strategic pricing, creates compelling product messaging, and helps tell our product story through collateral such as E-books, whitepapers, blogs, videos, and more.

The ideal candidate for this role has a knack for making the complex simple, finds it easy to translate technical concepts into easy-to-consume content, and easily partners with stakeholders across the business to drive results.

Responsibilities

  • Support & Enable Sales and Business Development teams: Create content and training modules that enable customer-facing members of the team to effectively communicate the differentiated value of the Snow’s Cloud Management Platform to customers and prospects. Work closely across Sales, Marketing and Product Management to identify opportunities to drive Sales Plays
  • Articulate customer value with compelling product messaging: Develop & maintain differentiated product messaging, positioning, and buyer journey that resonates with Snow Commander’s ideal customer profile and personas.
  • Communicate new value to customers and prospects through successful execution of product launch: Partner with Commander’s Product Management team to define the product launch strategy for Snow Commander considering the best routes-to-market to meet annual targets. Package and execute product launches on-time and within budget.
  • Thought Leadership & Evangelism: Partner with the Cloud Leadership team, Brand, and subject matter experts to refine the thought leadership and evangelism strategies for Snow Commander. Create and collaborate on thought leadership content that increases Snow’s share of voice in the market and be an evangelist for Snow Commander. Work closely with industry experts and the Analyst and Press Relations team to ensure effective thought leadership and ongoing relevancy in the market.
  • Be an expert on the market and your customer: Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights from market research, competitive intelligence, and direct customer conversations to inform messaging, go-to-market, and product development plans.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive growth: Build and maintain partnerships with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Partner and Business Development to drive an integrated message and go-to-market that drives increased adoption of products across the Snow portfolio among new and existing customers. Includes content and support for Field and Campaign Marketing, Sales Plays, and Enablement.
  • Customer Engagement: Meet regularly with Snow Commander customers and translate insights gleaned into messaging, new content and feedback loops into the product development process

Qualifications

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

  • Experience in VMware, public cloud or with Managed Services Providers.
  • Ability to present complex topics in simple, compelling, innovative, and differentiated terms to internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven track record of performing well in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively
  • Ability to work with and provide feedback to creative and technical team members
  • Ability to translate market and competitive insights into actionable intelligence
  • Proven experience launching new products
  • Experience supporting content creation efforts across the customer lifecycle, beginning with their buying journey and continuing throughout their customer journey at Snow

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • B2B Product Marketing experience in Cloud, Security or SaaS - Experience working with a SaaS solution preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or Engineering; MBA preferred
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and collaborate cross-functionally
