The purpose of this role is to operate as an Platform Automation Engineer to ensure Snow’s runtime (i.e., production) SaaS platforms, and on-premise software offerings are proactively monitored and managed to avoid unnecessary outages and bottlenecks in performance and capacity.

The role holder will work on a variety of application and infrastructure development projects, and work as part of the Platform Automation and SRE Team responsible for keeping our Product offerings highly available, Operable and performant.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

• Experience debugging complex, multi-server services in a high availability production environment.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies and software-defined networks
• Knowledge and experience of setting up and using configuration management tooling
• Participate in architecting and implementing Snow’s enterprise hosting platforms
• Automating repeatable tasks
• Ensuring availability, scalability and resilience of our enterprise hosting and SaaS like platform and services.
• Collaborate across a global team structure that spans APAC, EMEA and AMER.
• Assist in documenting and implementing processes, workflows, user manuals and present to stakeholders as necessary 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

• Previous experience within a Platform / DevOps Engineering team
• Reasonable proficiency in at least one of Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Python , Go
• Broad technical and working knowledge of multi-cloud provider hosting, Software Defined Networks (SDN), Microsoft Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, docker, Windows, Linux, SQL Server
• Able to be on-call when needed 

• Degree in a relevant field
• Azure, AWS, GCP Certification
