Snow is currently looking for a Product Owner to join the Product Management team.

The role will focus on the Product Owner skillset to assist with product discovery, ideation, requirements gathering, planning, and refining the work together with the product development teams and supporting teams such as the Solution Architects. The work includes not only the planning and prioritisation of the relevant development team backlogs, but also to take part in continuous improvements on the way of working within the Product Management team.

The main team for this role is focused on building Snow’s next generation Data framework in the Cloud hosted Snow Atlas platform. This framework will provide useful services to the other engineering team building products on the platform by using common shared services and APIs as well as building the guidelines and instructions for the teams how to best build for the platform. This will lead to greater development agility and velocity across all product teams and provide a stable and performant data warehouse.

• Conduct product discovery and user research. Taking responsibility for driving product discovery of agreed product roadmap items, defining and refining Epics and User Stories, and prioritise these in the team backlog
• Be the “knowledge sharing link” between the development teams and rest of Snow in collaboration with Product Marketing to improve adoption and understanding of the value of solutions we build for our customers
• Take part of longer-term planning, ideation and prioritization with regards to Data framework related solutions, such as Data Warehousing, Messaging queues, Data Analytics and ML/AI
• Be the collaboration partner for all the other POs and development teams that utilize or interact with the Data framework, discover their requirements of the Data framework and plan and prioritize that work collaboratively across teams
• Follow up on release process, post release feedback and feature success
• Provide business domain knowledge on continuous basis, acting as the voice of the customer to development teams to answer questions and deliver the expected customer outcome(s)

• Strong experience of working as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an Agile organisation
• Experience working with engineering and other cross-functional teams
• Experience with planning and delivering Big Data and Data Warehousing solutions and/or Data Analytics or Machine Learning
• Strong understanding and experience working with internal stakeholders and requirements
• Negotiation skills for use in prioritization and change management
• Excellent communicator both spoken and written (in English)
• Great team player focused on succeeding with the team in building great solutions that our customers will love and that works for our business

It’s a bonus if you have

• Interest and drive to understand technologies used in delivering data platform solutions and
• Worked on software platform projects
• A technical degree within computer engineering or programming
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• More than 5 years of experience working as a product owner or similar role
• Scrum Product Owner certification
