Job Description

Snow is looking for a Product Specialist to join the Product Management team.

As a Product Specialist you will take an important role in the Product Management team as a bridge to the other organizations within Snow as well to our most important source of information and data; our customers.

The role will focus on the Product Owner skillset to assist with product discovery, ideation, requirements gathering, planning, and refining the work together with the development teams and supporting teams such as User Experience and Tech Writers.

Another aspect of the work is to act as the domain specialist and focus on the customer experience. This involves working jointly with support, services and sales to ensure our customer understand and utilize the products in the best way. Also to make sure that the Snow field teams and support are well trained and know the solutions well. Finally and maybe most importantly, working with the other Snow teams to address the different issues our valued customers may encounter.

The particular group of teams are focused on the collection of IT asset management data for use within our core SAM solution. This includes agent applications collecting system and software data from the major workstation and server operating systems (Snow Agents). It also includes the integration and collection of data from 3rd party systems such as Microsoft SCCM, inTune, Remedy, etc (Snow Integration Manager). This data is collected and sent to the core servers, where it is stored, aggregated, normalised and used within the Snow SAM solution (Snow Inventory Server, Snow License Manager).

Key responsibilities  

  • Conduct product discovery and user research. Taking responsibility for driving product discovery of agreed product roadmap items, defining Epics and User Stories, and prioritise these together with the PO in the team backlog
  • Be the “knowledge sharing link” between the development teams and rest of Snow in collaboration with Product Marketing to improve adoption and understanding of the value of solutions we build for our customers
  • Follow up on releases, post release feedback and feature success
  • Engage in customer satisfaction and escalations related to product. Follow through on root cause analysis and resolution plan
  • Provide business domain knowledge on continuous basis, acting as the voice of the customer to development teams to answer questions and deliver the expected customer outcome(s)

Qualifications

  • Experience of working directly with customers with a focus on either solution consultancy, services or support
  • Experience of working directly with customers on problem resolution or business value delivery
  • Domain knowledge in context of the team (see job description above) – however – can be replaced by deep experience in the craft of business analysis, where domain knowledge will need to be acquired
  • Experience working with engineering and other cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communicator both spoken and written (in English)
  • Great team player focused on succeeding with the team in building great solutions that our customers will love and that works for our business

It’s a bonus if you have:

  • Previous experience with the Snow solutions on a technical level, e.g. Snow Agents, Snow inventory Server, Snow License Manager.
  • Technical understanding of the common workstation and server operating systems, internal and internet networking, and client-server communication (domain knowledge)
  • Understanding of .NET development, coding principles, Microsoft SQL Server and SQL, Github and release management.
