What you will be doing:

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our Product Engineering division, and to be responsible for building, enabling, and growing the software development teams who are working on the Snow solutions.  Based in our Norwegian office in Hamar and managing a wider team of 18, you will be responsible for ensuring the software solutions are delivered with the right quality, and within expected timeframes, and with a focus on driving continuous improvement and change within the team.

Key accountabilities include:

• Ensure that the team has a clear understanding of backlog, priorities, direction for R&D and direction for Snow 
• Facilitate and drive continuous improvements together with relevant stakeholders, making sure you optimize the whole and not sub optimize the parts  
• Enable and represent a culture in line with the Snow Spirits and other Snow values, with a focus on collaboration and openness 
• Identify team needs when it comes to recruitment and/or competence  
• Foster a culture where people feel included and motivated  

What we are looking for:

As the successful candidate you will be an experienced Software Engineering / Development Manager, with a real focus on people management, people skills, and leadership. We would love for you to have:

• Great people management capabilities with a focus on developing individuals and supporting them in their career, enabling you to get the best out of your engineering and development teams.  Strong communication skills would naturally go hand in hand with this.
• Excellent Understanding of business needs and customer challenges 
• The ability to understand how software is developed, tested and delivered in a modern way  
• Systems thinking, and great Agile / Scrum ways of working
