Through strong business growth and a need to proactively drive the Snow product portfolio forwards, a position is now available for a seasoned Product Manager who is looking to further their career within a global software vendor that is experiencing significant growth in all areas and markets. The successful candidate will have strong product management / ownership skills that have been developed over at least the last 5 years and will possess demonstrable experience of Enterprise Software Management.

Job Description

You will be driving part of the Snow product portfolio, collaborating with a team of Snow Product Managers, Product marketeers together with relevant stakeholder groups including Development and Marketing resources in Stockholm, Sweden and Hamar, Norway, along with customers, partners and analysts to ensure a rounded approach to driving the solution forwards in advance of the needs of the Snow customer.

Overall, however your key objectives are as follows:

  • Responsible for managing the planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle – from strategic planning to tactical activities. This includes gathering and prioritizing the market, product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with Development/Engineering, Sales & Marketing and Business Development to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are surpassed.
  • Own and drive the business plan for the solution, working with key stakeholders to ensure the most effective decisions are reached regarding the lifecycle of the solution offering.
  • Own and manage the ongoing product roadmap and work closely with Development to ensure that the solution(s) developed fulfill the needs of the customers in a timely manner.
  • Working closely with the Snow partner network to ensure that partner requirements are appropriately engaged with the appropriate roadmaps and product planning across the Snow product portfolio.
  • Support the go to market execution with team members to ensure sales, marketing, service and operations are ready across all markets.
  • Conduct technical research of both new features and competitor analysis along with business intelligence in support of the product roadmap.
  • Support the commercial partner teams with product and solution presentations and visits, on a global level.
  • Support the Marketing teams with product and solution collateral to position the appropriate solution / product in its best possible light always.
  • Promote the product line and business in general through analyst briefing sessions.

Qualifications

You will have solid, demonstrable experience and understanding regarding product management in general and possess a very high level general technical understanding of software development. Your background will also clearly demonstrate significant knowledge in enterprise software management and maintenance, preferably in a Product Management or Product Marketing guise.

You will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of Product Management and / or marketing within a high technology company with focus on software management
  • An ability to clearly define the Product Owner, Product Manager and Product Marketing roles and understand the cross over between these roles in an agile software development environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language
  • Commercial acumen: a proven track record of understanding business value, with a key sensitivity to understanding sales and marketing challenges and building collateral to positively manage such challenges with the objective of strengthening business and making product / solution sales
  • Attitude: focused on building solutions with the customer always in mind while ensuring that sales and product profitability / revenue remains front and center
  • Results oriented: structured and organized as an individual with execution as a key orientation for driving results
  • Experience of operating within a B2B role
  • High level of experience of working with channel partners as a means of go to market

It would be beneficial if you also possess:

  • Certification from Pragmatic Marketing (PMC V or VI)
  • Experience in the field of Software Asset Management
  • Experience of operating as a Product Owner and / or Business Analyst for an enterprise software vendor

Ideally you will have operated as both a Product Owner and a Product Manager during your career and thus will have a solid understanding of the roles and how they operate together to produce world class software.
