Working as a SAM Specialist at Snow means continuously working with new exciting projects and concepts. The role is a dynamic and challenging opportunity that complements and extends the strengths of Snow Product portfolio. We’re looking for candidates that are solution oriented, but who also understand how to expeditiously move a customer through to the scoped outcome. This position involves working close to our partners including customer interaction, data reconciliation and consulting to internal sales teams as needed.

What you’ll be doing:

You will deliver Snow ROI analysis projects where you manage the project and analyze customer specific data for customers to create their SAM/Snow business case. In relation to this you will also advise and assist the Partners and Sales and Pre-Sales teams during the sales cycle, to help potential customers understand their financial risks as well as how Snow and Partners can help them overcome them.

You will also work in projects where you are responsible for assisting partners and customers with understanding their license position relative to their installed software, in some cases as a part of a larger implementation project or other times as separate license service. As such, you will be evangelizing the Products and the Snow brand both internally, with partners and customers and at external tradeshows.

As a SAM specialist, we also want you to use your project management skills to drive the above-mentioned projects from inception, through design and planning, to the final report and project sign off. 

You’ll be working with:

• Executing SAM Projects, roll out of running system together with the partners and customers
• Owning the management of projects, communication and organization of all involved parties. 
• Leverage Snow License Manager for data collection, normalization, reconciliation, and other features as needed. 
• Data collection of customer licensing information from customer, software partners, and resellers.
• Data reconciliation of licenses and purchase history to establish effective license position for customers and assisting partners. 
• Deliver training for Certified Snow Specialist Courses 
• Contribute to internal knowledge, expansion and continual process improvement. 

What we require from you:

Deep understanding and experience of licensing and Software Asset Management, preferably also Project Management. This preferentially includes but is not limited to:

• Advanced licensing skills regarding system platforms (Microsoft, SAP, IBM & Oracle), client & Server and midrange and large environment. 
• Very good understanding of Microsoft's Software Platform such as Windows Servers, Windows Operation Systems, Database, Desktop / Server Management. 
• Very good understanding of IT environments/Infrastructure
• Strong proficiency in spoken and written English
• Client facing presentation and interview skills
• Used to working toward strict deadlines
• Certifications or proven experience with Project Management
• Familiarity with SAM standards of frameworks (e.g. ISO 19770-X) is an advantage.
• Experience with licensing or audits for major vendors Oracle and IBM is desired, including understanding of the technological concepts related to licensing (e.g. multiplexing, virtualization)
• Must be able to Travel

You should also have a basic knowledge of inventory and distribution areas as well as good communication and teaching skills. You have at least 5 years of experience in the industry, some of which are more specialized to any of the above tasks. Since we are working closely with our partners and customers, it is important that you are willing to travel and have a valid driver license.
