Job Description

The Sales Administrator (KSA) is an integral and important part of Smiths Detection Saudi Arabia providing sales administrative responsibilities for the Saudi Arabia market.

This position is an individual contributor role and will assume responsibility for sales administration in support of Smiths Detection's range of security screening systems for specific market verticals.

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Smiths Code of Corporate Responsibility and Business Ethics is upheld in all activities.
  • Support the Sales Manager (KSA) with sales administration for new business with new and existing customers.
  • Prepare commercial and technical responses as required for the assigned market vertical and territory. The deliverables will contain both qualitative and quantitative information and provide the respective Sales Manager with the required information to submit a comprehensive proposal for the opportunity.
  • Proactive understanding of the market and business drivers and provide strategic inputs (both qualitative and quantitative) to the Sales Manager and active involvement in the setting up of the territory pipeline.
  • Deliver a high standard of work for new opportunities with a focus on continuous improvement to seek further areas of value add
  • Pro-active coordination within all departments of the organization to ensure smooth flow of business.
  • Track leads and opportunities to ensure timely follow-up actions and closure of pending items.
  • Track order status, shipments, invoicing, and payment milestones to ensure smooth order execution.
  • Monitor KPIs such as order backlog, conversion rates, delivery timelines, and sales performance indicators.
  • Work closely with the Programs and Service teams for smooth and profitable completion of opportunity deliverables.
  • Supporting the sales process, including but not limited to:
  • Arranging and conducting product demonstrations.
  • Participating in trade exhibitions/conferences.
  • Preparing quotations to customers/prospects.
  • Contributing to major proposals for the territory.
  • Participate in product/sales skills training as required.
  • Participate/contribute to internal and external meetings.
  • Comply with Company health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Comply with the company compliance and business ethics policy
  • Comply with all applicable export/import control and security regulations.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Sales Manager to this role from time and time and not covered above.

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

 

Education/Training:     Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not essential. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. SAP and Sales CRM experience preferred.

 

Experience:                   Minimum of 2 - 3 years experience directly involved in sales administration.  Prior knowledge on Smiths Detection products will be added advantage.  Exposure in selling to customers in market segments such as Aviation, Ports & Borders, Urban Security and Defence.

Experience within a process driven and disciplined sales organization.

 

Knowledge/Skills:        Self-motivated and proactive approach to supporting a Sales Team.

Individuals should possess good communications skills and have a strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork.  Delivery focused. 

Knowledge of general business with additional skills in planning, negotiating, and influencing are important.

Good interpersonal skills, ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.

Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.

Ability to multitask effectively.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Fluent Arabic and English language preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Individual’s primary workstation may be in an office setting or at home office. Individual will work at internal SD offices, customer and/or prospects’ office or at trade shows.
