Job Description
Key Activities:
- Assist in developing and documenting software solutions, including device connectivity, cloud integration, and dashboard applications.
- Perform reviews, testing, and quality checks on software modules, APIs, and IoT integrations developed by the team.
- Develop and maintain software components, including embedded applications, backend services, REST APIs, and web/mobile interfaces for IoT solutions.
- Conduct self-quality checks through unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and validation of developed features.
- Perform basic software engineering tasks, including coding, troubleshooting, data analysis, and performance optimization using appropriate development tools.
- Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IoT applications across development, test, and production environments.
- Maintain project documentation, code repositories, test records, and compliance artifacts in accordance with organizational quality standards and IMS requirements.
- Follow software development best practices, coding standards, cybersecurity guidelines, and Agile/Scrum processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and tools relevant to IoT, cloud computing, and software engineering.

- Maintain a "First Time Right" culture throughout development activities.
- Perform duties as directed by the Manager to support John Crane business objectives.
- Foster adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure quality and accuracy in work and team processes.
- Complete sprint tasks in full as part of the scrum team
Responsibilities:

Qualifications
Experience : Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Sc/ IT) with a minimum of 70%.
Technical Skills: Ability to write robust code Python, Java. Strong data structures fundamentals. Good exposure to scripting languages – Typescript, JavaScript, bash, etc. Good database knowhow – SQL and NoSQL (Postgres and MongoDB), Docker and microservices fundamentals. Leveraging and contributing to open-source projects.
People Skills: Strong team player with excellent communication, interpersonal abilities, and a customer service-oriented mindset.
Additional Information
Utilizes technology to improve, streamline and automate design process. Responsible for programming tasks assigned by Team Lead with Quality and Deadline. The objective is to support Team Lead for requirement Programming activities and contribute to progress of overall project while maintaining product quality and adhering to internal standards.
