Job Description
Responsible for managing the day-to-day manufacturing activities, optimizing processes, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Service Ops Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving production targets, maintaining a safe work environment, and fostering a culture of efficiency and collaboration within the manufacturing team.
Production Management & Manufacturing Management:
•Plan, organize, and coordinate manufacturing activities to meet production targets and deadlines.
•Implement and monitor production schedules, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
•Drive efficiency improvements and cost reduction initiatives in the manufacturing processes.
Quality Assurance:
•Establish and maintain quality standards for products, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
•Implement quality control measures to identify and rectify defects, minimizing production errors.
Team Leadership:
•Lead and motivate the team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
•Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and training as needed.
•Process Optimization & Service Operations:
•Service Activities are fundamental. Those need to be monitored closely. KPI’s will be implemented, and we must ensure a proper performance.
•Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive operational excellence.
Project Management:
•Set up new building with the needed equipment and team. Monitor civil works, machinery installation, hiring manufacturing technician and train them.
Safety and Compliance:
•Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
•Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize workplace accidents.
Inventory Management:
•Oversee inventory levels, monitor stock accuracy, and implement inventory control measures.
•Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize materials and ensure timely availability.
Budget Management:
•Assist in the development and management of Operations budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
Communication:
•Liaise with other departments, providing regular updates on production status, challenges, and opportunities.
•Collaborate with peers in other regions to work in common goals.
•Collaborate with senior management to align manufacturing strategies with overall business goals.
•Establish annual, quarterly, sales plans while actively participate on budgeting and forecasting process.
•Support localization efforts and collaborate actively with Service Operations to deploy the necessary strategies and gain market share.
Qualifications
•University Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field.
•Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role from Manufacturing/construction/Oil & gas/Automotive industry
•Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment
•Extensive experience working as Project Manager and managing teams in other locations.
•Proven track record in project execution and people management
•Extensive knowledge rotating equipment and ability to carry out Failure and Root Cause analyses.
•Strong Commercial and Technical Skills
•Excellent communication and presentation skills and proficient in all these languages are mandatory: English & Kazakh & Russian.
•Supervises service team across other locations.
•Willing to travel 40% of time within Caspian region.
