Job Description
Duties :
- Work closely with program and functional managers to understand the testing requirements for software projects by analyzing project specifications.
- Identify and define test cases and use cases, then create and execute test plans to support these projects. Ensure all test results are thoroughly documented.
- Provide support to the Service and Operations teams as needed, including assisting with field upgrades when required.
- Mentor and assist junior test engineers, helping them develop their skills and expertise.
- Take ownership of projects, representing the test team in technical discussions and ensuring effective communication across teams.
- Contribute to automation efforts by providing detailed flowcharts and requirements to the automation team for automating identified test cases.
- Work independently to meet tight deadlines, effectively managing tasks in resource-limited environments.
- Exposure on system controllers (scanners preferred) working, development and testing.
- The ability to make effective, timely decisions in a complex, global market by sourcing and analysing critical information to create the effective test cases
- The ability to engage, challenge and work effectively with others.
- Willing and able to identify and support change and continuous improvement in own and wider business environment.
- Ability to interact with cross functional teams in a matrix environment.
- Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment
Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks, including the ability to design, implement, and maintain test automation solutions.
- Proficient in coding and modifying complex automated software testing programs, both at the system level and front-end applications.
- Experience in developing Simulators and Emulators desirable
- In-depth knowledge of system controllers (scanners preferred) working, development and testing
- Good experience with Atlassian suite of products including JIRA, Bit Bucket, Confluence, Test Management tools like TestRail and Version Control Systems such as Git, Subversion, and integration tools like Jenkins.
- Good understanding on software development processes and testing methodologies, with the ability to collaborate effectively across development and testing teams.
- Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines for automated testing.
- Ability to work with various testing tools, including Robot Framework, TestNG, Python and other relevant test automation libraries.
- Experience in writing clear, detailed test cases and maintaining accurate documentation of test results.
