Job Description
Work manufacturing stations to build product using shop packets, drawings and standard or verbal instructions. Work alongside other assemblers to train and assist.
- Review work orders for special instructions, quantities & part numbers. Review parts provided to ensure that they conform to the job requirements.
- Assemble, test and visually inspect products or sub-assemblies including those of Assembler II and Nitrogen Booster Systems, Plan 53B’s, standard lubrication systems as well as more complex standard Gas Control Panels.
- Ensure assembled parts meet the drawing specifications for dimensions and level tolerances.
- Perform assembly support functions - Sandblast, Strip, Dye Penetrant test, Hydrotest and PMI.
- Multi-plane tube bending and installation.
- Adhere to Material Traceability requirements.
- Paint systems as business requires.
- Label parts and install nameplates.
- Conduct peer reviews of completed assemblies.
- Make proper labor and time reports.
- Work in a clean and orderly fashion to maintain area standards of 5S.
- Participate in Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Tube bending experience is required
- Ability to read and interpret average assembly drawings, make calculations and resolve elementary technical problems.
- One year related experience and 2 years of On the Job Training or an equivalent combination
- Must be able to learn to operate overhead cranes and forklift.
- Must be able to stand for extend periods of time; a minimum of 2 hours.
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office, shop, or warehouse
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds or utilize team-lift or lifting assistance for items over 35 pounds.
