Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team and provide high-quality mechanical and commercial support to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in mechanical seals, offer prompt feedback, and deliver exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular customer site visits to install and troubleshoot mechanical seals and associated equipment.
  • Produce comprehensive seal observation reports, including detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Perform on-site and in-workshop repairs with precision and expertise.
  • Assist end users during shutdowns and project commissioning.
  • Manage and maintain refurbishment contracts.
  • Conduct measurements and site surveys while coordinating installations.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, local teams, and agents.
  • Participate in technical reviews to ensure the optimal performance of our products and services.
  • Maintain and increase our company's market presence with key end users while identifying new opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with end users.
  • Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to enhance safety and reliability.
  • Address complex issues involving manufacturing departments, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.

 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 8 years of extensive professional experience in engineering and field service, specifically focused on mechanical seals and refinery rotating equipment, is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a proactive multinational and multicultural environment is crucial.
  • Possession of strong technical knowledge of John Crane product portfolio is imperative. In the absence of such knowledge, candidates must exhibit an exceptional capacity for rapid assimilation of John Crane's extensive product range.
  • Fluency in English. Proficiency in Arabic is an advantageous.
