Job Description
As a Field Service Engineer at John Crane, you will oversee the installation and maintenance of John Crane Sense® systems, ensuring optimal performance through hands-on support and technical troubleshooting. The Field Service Engineer will work closely with customers both remotely and onsite, provide system expertise, and deliver tailored recommendations to enhance reliability.
- Responsible for supervising and assisting John Crane Sense® installations and ongoing project maintenance.
- Provide recommendations to improve product performance and procedures.
- Provide technical support to customers including delivering John Crane Sense® system expertise and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting of John Crane Sense® installations.
- Write and issue project proposals, installation reports, including providing presentations to support.
- Complete site surveys at customer sites.
- Work with site and contract services to complete installations.
- Support operations with inventory management, supplier management, equipment testing, and planning.
- Additional duties as required
Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering Degree from ABET accredited university required
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience.
- Must have prior experience with rotating machinery (pumps and/or compressors)
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC card
- Available to travel 75% of time
- Experience with electrical or instrumentation systems
- Direct customer service experience
- Effective communication and writing skills
- Experience in cross functional roles such as field service, operations, instrumentations, or production.
- Experience working in a diverse environment and a global company is preferred.
Salary Range
$75,000.00 - $93,000.00 USD (dependent on experience)
