Job Description

Purpose of role: This role will be responsible to maintain and develop sales growth for all John Crane product portfolio in Medan area

Key Activities: 

  • Promote and sell John Crane Products in accordance with the company policy, pricing guidelines and regulations.
  • Execute plan to exceed sales targets from existing and new customer account
  • Presenting the product range and its technical attributes / benefits for customers and maintaining relationship
  • Provide training program for all customers in area.
  • Support and coordinate customer enquiries, quote preparation for non-pricelist products and work with Application Engineering
  • Develop/Maintain contracts with customers in the form of inventory management, service and reliability.
  • Facilitate price and negotiations in accordance with the guidelines
  • Actively involvement in the delivery of goods, invoicing and collections on payment from the customers.
  • Preparation of monthly reports to communicate plan and progress.
  • Adhere to Safety procedure and policies in accordance with safety management system. Including:
  • Active participation and contribution to specific safety initiatives in meetings.
  • Report all hazardous and unsafe acts.
  • Actively promote positive safety culture.
  • Adhere to Quality procedure and policies in accordance with the Integrated ISO Management System (9001; 14001; 45001) (where applicable) quality assurance system. Including:
  • Compliance to work instructions.
  • Raising corrective actions for all non-conformances.
  • Identifying areas requiring improvement and / or audit
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Min 3 years’ experience in similar capacity
  • Technical Skills
  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
  • Sound knowledge of rotating and process equipment, knowledge of mechanical seals
  •  People Skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and communicate in both written and spoken English
