Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain
- John Crane intercompany supplier performance on time to replenishment order request
- Review replenishment orders to ensure that all delivery dates can be met
- Determine information from SAP for standard products
- Resource stock held in the local store or other John Crane stocking locations
- Place replenishment orders as required
- Liaise with sales team to place Direct ship orders to CoE’s
- Make alternative arrangements where expediting information indicates a possibility of late delivery
- Ensure PO promise dates in SAP are up to date
- Active role in the pre-qualification of suppliers / subcontractors via MDM process
- Maintain the reporting and monitoring processes that measure stock values and stock buy-back values at our PP alliance plants with the objective of reducing stock balances and routinely informing Reliability customers about their stock buy-back value
- Monitor open POs and drive resolution with our vendors for both intercompany and external purchase orders in a timely manner and resolve any open items/issues that will drive an improvement of P2P cycle time
- Manage the 3 way match controls on our purchases to ensure a timely reconciliation with Goods receipt and Finance and correct any discrepancies
- Other duties as required
This is a Fixed Term contract position for 6 Months
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
- Well developed computer skills
- A high proficiency in telephone communication skills, especially in dealing with suppliers
- Good client awareness and standards for customer service
- Places a high value on teamwork
- Personal behaviours that demonstrate adaptability, initiative, integrity and cross cultural and commercial awareness
- Ability to take responsibility and be accountable for actions to ensure client satisfaction at all times
Education and Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in a technical purchasing environment preferred
