Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on various manufacturing equipment not limited to mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on various manufacturing equipment such as mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to increase capability and yield.
  • Performs equipment failure analyses including preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment issues.
  • Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Collaborate with technical staff on process improvements and plant changes.
  • Operate simple test equipment, including, but not limited to multi-meter, tape measure, dial indicators and various hand and stationary measurement tools.
  • Arrange machinery logistics, including rigging and utility connections.
  • Fabricate equipment as needed, including cutting, grinding, drilling.
  • Ensure that proper safety procedures are used in maintaining and the repair of production equipment.
  • Foster Safety program to continually improve safety practices in a maintenance setting.
  • Monitor and communicate equipment repairs with operations and production teams to prevent machine downtime.
  • Comfortable with email, Microsoft word and excel.

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 2-5 years of experience basic troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment
  • Time management skills, attention to details and ability to focus on assignment.
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, completing jobs, multitasking and must be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Knowledge of reading engineering electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience repairing and troubleshooting equipment in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Demonstrates clear concise communication skills, including reading and writing.
  • Have good computer skills and able to use Microsoft office products.
  • Must be able to work weekends when needed.
