Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Quality System Improvement Engineer to join our team in Muggiò, Italy. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across our global quality management systems, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with international standards.
- Lead cross-functional teams in identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions
- Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues and develop corrective action plans
- Collaborate with international teams to standardize quality processes and best practices across global operations
- Provide training and mentorship to quality team members on quality tools and methodologies
- Design and execute process improvement projects, also using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies
- Analyze quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities for enhancement
- Develop, implement, and maintain global quality management systems to enhance overall product quality and operational efficiency
- Develop and maintain documentation for quality processes, procedures, and standards
- Participate in internal and external quality audits to maintain certifications and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering or related field, with a focus on global quality system implementation and improvement
- Proven track record of successful process improvement projects and initiatives
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 standards
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis techniques
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
- Excellent project management skills and familiarity with project management software
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification preferred
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing industry best practices and global quality standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment
- Willingness to travel internationally as required (up to 25%)
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Italian or other European languages is a plus
