Job Description
Essential functions—essential functions, including how an individual is to perform them and the frequency with which the tasks are performed; the tasks must be part of the job function and truly necessary or required to perform the job.
Job duties to include but are not limited to;
- Review of customer contracts, Statements of Work, Purchase Order Quality Clauses, drawings and specifications
- Review and approval of quality requirements for Manufacturing Planning and Supplier Purchase Orders
- Participate in QMS process management
- Drive improvement
- Analyze data to develop metrics and trends
- Assist with establishing Root Cause of failures and defects
- Assist with completion of customer issued Corrective Action as well as issuance and follow up of Internal CAR’s.
- Use of technical drawings, specifications, manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, and configuration control of documents
- Experience with Configuration Control Board (CCB), review of ECNs, drawings, source control specifications, test plans & reports
- Good working knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with managing and performing audits, processes and practices associated with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Investigation of non-conformances and continuous improvement techniques; e.g., RCCA, 8D, 5-Why, PFMEA
- Effectively lead and manage the day-to-day performance and tasking of people by being a role model to others, monitoring progress on objectives and behaviors and coaching others for success
- Making decisions independently related to quality issues
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
- Significant experience in lieu of a degree considered
Required/Preferred:
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred
- Quality engineering experience in an ISO-9001 environment required
- Experience in First Article Inspection (FAI) required
- Experience working in a union environment preferred
Years of Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Salary and Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $128,485 - $154,182/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
