Job Description

Duties, Activities and Responsibilities :-

  • Design new processes, products and technologies that fit into John Crane Filtration portfolio in close consultation with the product management and engineering divisions
  • Develop various product information and tools for the bidding teams, sales division and external parties
  • Further develop fundamental knowledge of filtration processes
  • Research innovations in filtration and scouting of new technologies
  • Develop new technologies up till technology demonstration phase
  • Build prototypes, define required internal and external tests for product validation
  • Help other engineers with tackling problems and, where necessary, provide practical assistance
  • Lead the new development projects in coordination with cross-functional departments in the organization

Qualifications

Education and Experience:-

  • Mechanical engineering degree (or other engineering disciplines with related work experience to the role)
  • Experience in New Product Development and R&D activities
  • Experience in project management.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD design software, preferably Solid Edge.
  • Knowledge and experience with manufacturing techniques
  • Very good command of German and English, written and spoken
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas, Powergen or Polymer industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of instrumentation/sensors/E&I is a plus.
  • Experience in calculation and design of pressure vessels (PED,ASME,EAC, etc) is a plus
  • Experience in FEM and CFD analysis is a plus
  • strong background in physics or fluid mechanics is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial, goal-orientated thinking and action
  • High level of initiative and personal responsibility
  • Analytical, structured and independent way of working.
