Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
Location: New York, NY
Salary: $165,000 to $170,000
Position Highlights for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
• Setting: 100% outpatient care—no hospital rounds or overnight shifts.
• Patient Population: Ages 13 and up, presenting with a variety of Serious Mental Illnesses (SMIs) including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and more.
• Work Schedule: Choose your lifestyle—4x10s, 5x8s, or part-time options available.
• Hybrid Model: Enjoy flexibility with both on-site and remote telepsychiatry sessions.
• EMR: CareLogic (training provided if needed).
• Parking: Street parking available at both clinic locations.
Clinical Responsibilities for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations (45- 60 minutes per session).
• Provide medication management appointments (30 minutes, based on clinical need).
• Administer and/or supervise IM injections as part of medication regimens.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, therapists, case managers, and support staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in CareLogic EMR.
• Participate in team meetings and clinical case reviews.
Qualifications:
• Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is preferred.
• Active New York State NP license with prescriptive authority.
• Experience working with adolescent and adult populations and individuals diagnosed with SMIs.
• Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
