Our client is an award winning and nationally recognized pediatric hospital with an exciting new opportunity for a Director of Nursing to oversee our nursing staff.  As the Director of Nursing, you would have a multitude of important functions.  You would join a team that has been working together for many years and have an opportunity to work with our executive leadership team.  Please see job highlights below for more information.

Title: Director of Nursing

Location: Lower Westchester County NY

Salary: $180,000 to $220,000 + full comprehensive benefits

Responsibilities:

Overseeing registered nurses in our hospital setting

Involved with hiring decisions and performance reviews

Creating budget for nursing department

Working with executive staff to ensure patient care is of high quality

Developing policies and procedures

Implementing strategic plan to assist daily nursing practice

Work collaboratively with other healthcare workers such as Physical Therapists and MD’s

Documenting notes in EMR system when appropriate

Develop plans to make nursing services more efficient

Requirements:

New York State Registered Nurse license

BSN or Masters of Nursing Degree

Minimum 5 years of nursing leadership experience with pediatrics

Strong experience working in pediatrics

Good communication skills

BLS
