Job Description

As a Smarterer Designer, you’ll work with our design team on print and digital projects that support our Marketing and Sales teams. You’ll report to Smarterer’s Lead Designer, learning the ropes from an expert. During your first week, you’ll quickly come up to speed on Smarterer’s brand and style guidelines, learning what you need to dive into new projects. You’ll tackle email graphics, postcards, company swag (shirts, hoodies, stickers), posters, sales materials and more. In addition to design projects, you’ll periodically take part in brainstorming, developing wireframes and high fidelity mockups, and learning HTML/CSS.

This is a part time position with potential to transition into full time. Applications without examples of work will not be considered.

Qualifications

  • You are located in Boston
  • You live and breathe design
  • You can't buy that box of pancake mix because the package design makes your stomach churn
  • You agree that layout, color, and typography are all extremely important and understand how to design with all of them in mind
  • You have strong opinions about design but work well with others, you have top notch communication skills
  • You can take constructive criticism then apply it to your project
  • You are proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator or any comparable tool
  • HTML/CSS, Invision, Sketch, Balsamiq, Powerpoint, PDF, etc. skills are all a plus but not required
