SlideHub is a fast-growing SaaS scale-up founded in 2016 by a team of Danish professionals. We provide clients access to a Presentation and Document Management platform that enables consultants, lawyers, marketing teams, sales organizations, and other business professionals to manage, access, and automate their presentations and documents. 

We currently operate across four international offices with 45+ employees representing more than 12 different nationalities. While the company operates internationally, our product team is primarily based in Copenhagen, Denmark. 

 

Job Description

The Role 

As a Product Designer, you'll play a unique dual role that sets this position apart from traditional design roles. You'll spend 50% of your time on UX/UI design work and 50% of your time on browser-based testing and QA to ensure your designs are flawlessly implemented and deliver the highest quality experience for our end users. 

You'll work closely with our small team of four developers, our customer success managers, and one other product designer who has a similar role. Together, you'll report directly to our CEO/CTO, who oversees the product team. This collaborative approach means you'll see your designs through from concept to pixel-perfect implementation, working hand-in-hand with the development team. 

Design & Testing Tools

Testing Environment: 

  • All testing is conducted directly in web browsers or the relevant Office Add-in - no technical or coding skills required 

  • Various browsers and devices for comprehensive user experience testing 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities 

UX/UI Design (~50% of time): 

  • Create detailed wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes for new product features or improvements to existing functionality 

  • Gather feedback to inform design decisions from both the internal SlideHub customer success team and directly from customers via ad-hoc interviews.  

  • Leverage the end user statistics (in Amplitude) to build improvements to existing features 

  • Design user interfaces that solve complex business problems for our professional clients 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand client needs and translate them into intuitive designs 

  • Maintain and evolve our design system to ensure consistency across the platform 

  • Work hand-in-hand with your fellow product designer to align on design standards, approaches, and best practices, cohesive design vision

Non-technical testing & QA (~50% of time): 

  • Test implemented features directly in web browsers across different devices and screen sizes 

  • Carefully check that designs are exactly right (pixel-perfect) and look the same everywhere they appear. 

  • Verify that user flows work seamlessly from end to end - no technical skills required 

  • Identify and document usability issues, visual inconsistencies, and user experience problems 

  • Work directly with our small engineering team to communicate findings and ensure proper implementation 

  • Participate in daily stand-ups alongside your fellow designer, the CTO and the developers 

Location & Working Arrangements 

  • Fully in-person role based in our Copenhagen office (5 days per week) 

  • Office is centrally located in Copenhagen's Meatpacking District (Kødbyen) 

  • 40 hours per week, including a daily 30-minute lunch break 

  • Working hours: 8:00-9:00 AM to 4:00-5:00 PM CET 

  • We provide flexibility to work from home for special occasions, but it's not the norm 

 

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (all product work is conducted in English) 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional UX/UI design experience, preferably in SaaS or B2B environments 

  • Proficiency in Figma or other modern design tools 

  • Solid understanding of UX/UI principles 

  • Experience with QA - no coding or technical skills required 

  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering pixel-perfect implementations 

  • Excellent collaboration skills for working closely with the engineering and customer success teams 

  • Thrives in a high-output environment, doing work that directly impacts clients' daily operations 

  • Can take ownership of design projects from concept to final implementation 

  • Motivated by working in-person with a small, tight-knit team and playing a big role in a fast-growing company 

Highly Desirable 

  • Experience working closely with development teams in an agile environment 

  • Background in QA processes and usability testing 

  • Experience from other SaaS startups or fast-moving agencies
