Job Description

Shift:  Sunday - Wednesday (4 day 10 hour shifts, 3 days off)

Can you?

  • Support the Distribution Supervisor in providing day to day guidance, work direction to Warehouse Associates ensuring that deliveries are organized and loaded in a safe and efficient manner and that delivery teams are debriefed at the end of their shifts. 
  • Assist in the collection, entry and communication of data in information such as KPI's, recognition program, etc...
  • Understand all aspects of the picking, receiving and home delivery operations and provide assistance as required.
  • Liaise and follow-up with operations, sales, customer service and customers  on any issues or problems.
  • Provide support to the Delivery Teams during daily preps, deliveries, and complete manifest releasing.
  • Manage routing system and delivery runs, equipment sign out.
  • Conduct and reconcile distribution issues that impact inventory and ensure they are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Act in a supervisory/team lead capacity in the absence of a Supervisor (ie., afternoon/evening shifts, vacation coverage).
  • Provide training and orientation for new Associates.
  • Works on various project initiatives as required.
  • Work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

Do you have?

  • A college diploma in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of leadership and/or supervisor experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, delivery, and inventory (cycle counts, return to vendor process) is a definite asset.
  • Knowledge and understanding of provincial transportation and policies is an asset (ex. log books, trip inspections, checking them over making sure they are correct and up to date, etc...)
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills with the ability to deal with various internal/external stakeholders on issues and discrepancies (ie., order mix-ups, non deliveries, manifest errors).
  • Ability to multi-task and work work on multiple projects or assignments as well as interacting with Management, Associates, customers and vendors.
