Job Description

Due to the continued growth and success of the business a dynamic and motivated Head of Finance is required. This individual will lead the financial team improving the policies and procedures to ensure that financial reporting is on time and to the required level of granularity. The Head of Finance will maintain a successful working relationship with the business management team in order to provide sound financial and commercial advice in all areas of decision making.

  1. Management and development the finance team
  2. Preparation of the annual financial budget & regular forecast updates (P&L and cashflow).
  3. Ensure appropriate financials controls are being applied and pro-actively look to improve such controls
  4. Ensure that the Balance Sheet is regularly reviewed, and all accounts are reconciled. Raising any potential risks with the Director and Group CFO
  5. Management of Company's cash flows. Regular forecasting, reporting in a timely manner any pinch points. Working with the Director and Group CFO to ensure that cash Is maximised.
  6. Handling of all the US tax issues and ensuring compliance with the various tax requirements.
  7. Management of internal and external relationships (with the auditors, consultants, banks and authorities as well as the UK Group operation)
  8. Preparation of the Year End financial statements, along with the related and accompanying information
  9. Participate in key decisions as a member of the senior management team
  10. Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the senior management team
  11. Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile
  12. Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry
  13. Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: (Minimum Requirements)

  • Bachelor's Degree. 
  • 5+ years’ experience in finance preferred. 
  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience for a high growth company preferably in the aviation sector

SOFTWARE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: 

  • General knowledge of the following software:  Microsoft Office programs.
  • Other accounting software programs may be required, as needed.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to speak, understand, read, and write.
  • Aviation terminology/background desired, but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: excellent grammar and spelling
  • Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner.
  • Type 40+ wpm (computer user with minimum typing skills)
  • Ability to interact with varied customer base (current and/or prospective) while providing high level of customer service.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities.
  • Experience in partnering with an executive team.
  • Well organized and analytical
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Flexibility, especially at month end and budget times.

Additional Information

Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, Onsite

Salary range $85,000 - 100,000 Annual Salary, (DOE)
