Job Description

The Skyborne EASA Modular ATPL course is adaptable and flexible, giving you full control over what you learn and when you learn it. The Modular course is perfectly suited to those wanting to study around their existing commitments, such as work and family.

TRAINING MODULES

The modules we provide are theoretical knowledge, airline preparation, initial pilot training, advanced in-flight training and Upset Prevention and Recovery Training. Cadets will be able to hone their skills in our state-of-the-art flight simulators, training aircraft and in our outstanding classrooms.

COMBINED MEP/CPL/IR /APS MCC

We offer a combined Multi-engine Piston Class Rating and Commercial Pilots Licence, Instrument Rating course with APS MCC. We ensure that all our cadets graduate with a Multi-engine CPL/IR, meaning you are industry-ready and fully prepared to embark on your career as an international airline pilot.

Qualifications

Before commencing the CPL(A) modular course you must:

1. Be the holder of a PPL(A) issued in accordance with current EASA legislation and current CAA publications.

2. Have completed 150 hours flight.

3. Have complied with the prerequisites for the issue of a class or type rating for multi-engine aeroplanes in accordance with current EASA legislation and current CAA publications, if a multi-engine aeroplane is to be used on the skill test.

4. Hold a valid Class 1 medical for licence application.

5. Have completed the Theoretical Knowledge instruction for the CPL(A) or ATPL(A). The Theoretical Knowledge written exams remain valid for 36 months from the date the last exam was passed.

6. Successful licence issue must take place within this period.

Additional Information

You will complete your training at our Gloucestershire Airport facility, making use of our premium equipment and highly experienced staff.

DURATION

The MEP/CPL/IR/APS MCC typically takes fifteen weeks to complete.

  • 7 hours of MEP theoretical knowledge Instruction
  • 43 hours of DA42 Multi engine Piston training
  • 35 hours of DA42 FNPTII training
  • 2 hour Combined MEP and CPL Test
  • 2 hour IR Test
  • 28 Hours of APS MCC theoretical knowledge Training
  • 40 hours B737 FTD 1 Simulator training
