Safely, efficiently and expeditiously use designated welding machines, equipment and tools; and follow established processes and procedures to assemble, prepare and fabricate vessels, as specified by job orders, and stage them for the next process.

The duties include all those associated with the Welder I position, plus the following: 

• Set up and operate specified welding machines, tools and equipment, with minimal assistance.

• Consistently, accurately and reliably complete specified tasks.

• Follow the 5S system.

TOOLS 

• Must be able to use all of the tools of a Welder I.

QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications required include, but may not be limited to, the following: 

• Perform all of the tasks of a Welder I.

• Three (3) years welding experience.

• Ability to perform all preventive maintenance on machines, tools and equipment, with minimal assistance.

• Ability to assist in the training of same or lower grade co-workers within the department.

• Ability to diagnose product and/or equipment problems and resolve, as necessary.

• Ability to meet the requirements of a majority of Welding Procedure Specifications.

• Proficient in fit up of components and using hand torches.

• General knowledge of PECOFacet product line, required. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

• High School Diploma and/or GED.

• Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
