Job Description

The Marketing Coordinator will assist and help execute the marketing activities including print and media advertising, point of purchase material, event planning, promotional signage, sales analysis and sales initiatives which supports our retail sales objectives. They will assist with community events, grand openings, and special events.  Additionally, the position will be responsible for administrative support of the marketing department including managing inventory levels of marketing materials and giveaways, and tracking of POP orders. 


ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

 • Help organize and plan events including store openings, special events and community/center based events.
• Maintain marketing and promotional inventory and re-order as necessary.
• Research and execute local marketing opportunities as needed including vendor negotiation.
• Oversee lease required advertising programs for specific retail properties.
• Work closely on a store by store basis to address specific marketing/promotional needs.
• Write memos to communicate direction to stores.
• Run weekly reports to monitor coupon/discount code activity and report on abnormalities.
• Assist in creating targeted advertising campaigns for stores including radio, direct mail, billboards, newspaper advertising, and more.
• Update marketing collateral in conjunction with seasonal changes and product initiatives.
• Research and procure new promotional giveaways and gift with purchase items.
• Work closely with Graphics department to develop creative and manage the process from inception to execution.  Ensure that deadlines are met.
• Track department expenses.
• Maintain a database of marketing graphic assets.
• Recap quarterly localization efforts of events and advertising.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be highly efficient in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Must demonstrate a high degree of expense awareness and control.
• Self-starter with high level of initiative and a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
• Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships among all cross-functional groups.
• Ability to build relationships with outside vendors.
• Must display a high degree of professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects and priorities.
• Flexibility to frequent changes and ability to react quickly.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must have at least have 2- 4 years of successful experience in a Marketing or a related position.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Highly proficient in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator a plus.
• BA or BS in business or marketing or related field is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to perform detailed quantitative analysis on marketing campaigns to judge effectiveness.
