Job Description

The Store design team is responsible for crafting the Skechers experience and showcasing our company values across our retail portfolio. The European Store Designer contributes to Skechers’ success by supporting the Store Design team. Your primary mission is to create, innovate, elevate, inspire, and execute store design projects.

You will work cross-functionally with various business units and oversee the holistic design process; inclusive of all phases of design from feasibility studies through to construction documents and administration; while honouring budget, schedule, and operational requirements aligned with strategic business needs.

What we’re looking for: 

  • Retail design including management of construction documents.
  • Degree in Architecture (Desirable).
  • Proven experience in CAD drafting in AutoCAD software & 3D modelling in Sketchup.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint).
  • Current working knowledge of UK building code and compliance issues.
  • Current knowledge of industry trends in retail store design including furniture and finishes.
  • Ability to balance design, with operational needs and meet the needs of the business within budget and meet tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of materials and foundational design principles.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organisation skills with the flexibility to react to frequent changes quickly.
  • Ability to make informed decisions, and problem-solve.
  • Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships among all cross-functional groups.
  • European language, French, German, Spanish or Italian (Desirable).

This role will incorporate travel across Europe as and when required.
