Job Description

This is an onsite position at our Rancho Belago CA location Pay Range is $140k-$170K

Under direct supervision, the Senior Programmer/Analyst Accomplishes software requirements by developing and maintaining applications and databases.  Plans solutions, designs and codes software and coordinates the testing and problem solving process to ensure that the business standards and project requirements are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Propose solutions
  • Testing of the proposed solutions on both technical and business compliance
  • Analyze, develop, prepare and implement the most efficient and cost-effective computer solutions
  • Facilitates and advises users on best solutions/practices to reduce to a minimum the manual and repetitive tasks to increase quality, efficiency and productivity
  • Translates client requirements into technical specifications        
  • Analyzes and performs research on any reported problem
  • Evaluates system specifications to meet business requirements
  • Develops and maintains various applications on the IBMi platform
  • Plans a testing schedule for completing the systems operations
  • Supervises the implementation of new systems and report outcome to management
  • Performs installation of new programs and updates
  • Develops project feasibility reports        
  • Creates, updates and maintains user documentation: inform users on the new functions and how to use them
  • Shared responsibilities for user support of various systems used in the day to day operations of the warehouse, including, but not limited to, WMS (warehouse management system from Manhattan Associates), KSD (Customs and Export application), EDI systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT
  • 10+ years of experience IBM System I (aka: AS/400, Iseries)
  • Previous experience working with Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management Systems preferred
