Job Description

JOB PURPOSE-

The Account Marketing Coordinator on the Sports Marketing Team is a hands-on position that will assist with marketing-related activity, sales support, and communication with wholesale accounts. This leader’s mission is to help build positive and lasting relationships with current and future account partners, pickleball facility partners, consumers, and the performance community. The ideal teammate possesses a passion for running, golf and pickleball, a sound knowledge of the marketplace/sport landscape and an engaging and dynamic personality.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

  • Collaborate with Account Marketing Manager to create various sell-in materials: sales tools, sell sheets and technology stories.
  • Assist in ensuring accounts have seasonal marketing to support key initiatives, product launches and campaigns including digital and print assets.
  • Create quarterly updates recapping current account marketing and onsite branding, social media posts and event recaps featured across all accounts - ensuring they are shared with internal teams in a timely manner.
  • Plan and organize special onsite events, programs, giveaways, and demo days to help elevate the brand while interacting and engaging with the local community across all Skechers Performance sports.  
  • Share creative content ideas and inspiration with internal team and accounts to help create best-in-class content that drives traffic and results.
  • Liaison between various pickleball facility partners and internal Skechers teams to ensure a continuous flow of communication.
  • Create and manage calendar featuring upcoming partner facility events; pinpointing events where Skechers Performance should have an onsite presence.
  • Ensure understanding of key product offering is communicated to facility staff and/or pro shop staff.
    • Hold quarterly training sessions or virtual meetings to keep staff up to date on key product and technologies.
  • Keep detailed list of all partner staff to be outfitted in Skechers Pickleball footwear.
    • Ensure that new footwear shipments are seeded to staff routinely.
    • Manage forecasting of footwear seeding orders with factories.
    • Manage organization of seeding inventory.
  • Ensure partner facilities have updated seasonal marketing on display throughout the venues.
  • Build, execute and own potential ambassador/member programs across partner facilities.
  • Research potential future pickleball facilities, in key markets, that align with the Skechers goals and initiatives.
    • Ensure these facilities are on the executive team’s radar.
  • Manage payment process and submissions of all vendor invoices.
  • Collaborate and work in a team environment with other Sports Marketing team members.

JOB REQUIREMENTS-

  • A can-do, positive attitude, and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach.
  • Passion for and knowledge of the global sports industry.
  • Enjoys interacting with people and working in a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize/coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high pressure, ever-changing environment.  
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines; great follow-up skills.
  • Professional image and behavior.  Strong team player. Ability to establish and maintain a positive work environment and work with a wide range of people (personalities, cultures).
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary; light travel required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-

  • 3+ years of proven experience in marketing coordination or a related role.
  • Knowledge of traditional core marketing and sales concepts.
  • Excellent knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) with the ability to learn additional/proprietary software/programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Former collegiate athlete preferred.
  • Passion for sports – including running, soccer, basketball, tennis/pickleball and golf.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS-

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to walk; sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel. The employee is occasionally required to sit for long period of times.

Pay range for this position is $70,000-$75,000/year
