Job Description

Looking for an experienced network manager for our Corporate and Retail Network Engineering team to help guide the design, development, and support of our scalable networking solutions facilitating communications between internal customers, applications, and hosted/vendor solutions. As a member of the IT Infrastructure & Operations Team, this position will be responsible for day-to-day management and growth of a best-in-class Network Engineering Team dedicated to developing and implementing innovative solutions in support of Skechers global growth schedule.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-

  • Develop an effective team by driving the recruiting and hiring of engineers, conduct performance reviews, and support individual career development. Ensure primary and backup support resources are identified and trained for 24x7 support model.
  • Communicate with Sr leadership to plan and implement Strategic Roadmap initiatives. The manager also communicates with other IT and Retail personnel as well as vendors and contractors to coordinate and implement roadmap projects.
  • Implement process improvement by empowering peer departments with procedures and toolsets to best support the business. Facilitate change management, incident management and notifications as well as root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with technical architects and engineers to develop technical designs and solution recommendations.
  • Partner with other internal infrastructure teams and third-party vendors to develop consistent and scalable solutions.
  • Standardization of Information and Technology environment to ensure cost effective use of resources and service reliability.
  • Provide technical oversight and handle escalations for activities related to the retail and corporate network infrastructure.
  • Participate in design and production deployment of new networking solutions or updates to existing environments.
  • Manage network manufacturer and vendor technical relationships in support of service offerings.
  • Manage network infrastructure Change, incident, and problem queues.
  • Accountable for delivering root cause analysis reports as related to retail and corporate infrastructure.
  • Accountable for business continuity of infrastructure services.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES-

  • Proven ability to Solve Business Problems / Objectives through Implementation of infrastructure technology solutions
  • Ability to interpret end user/ business requirements to specifications into technology solutions to achieve the desired results

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES-

  • Provides training, counseling, supervision, and discipline to all department staff
  • Interviews, makes hiring recommendations, and trains new staff
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Ensures staff is engaged in career development plan with focus on technologies that align with the Skechers roadmap

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS-

  • Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of Global Enterprise technologies.
  • A collaborative approach to align synergies within the Infrastructure group as well as peer groups.
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, fast paced environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of connectivity between multiple data centers is a plus.
  • Proficiency in multiple hardware vendors including Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet and Aruba.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MS/MIS or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience managing network engineering team performance and budgets
  • 7-10 years of experience in Network design, engineering, and operations support
  • Experience partnering with security to design solutions that adhere to internal guidelines
  • Required Technologies: Data Center network design, Spine/leaf configuration, VXLAN, edge routing eBGP, iBGP, OSPF, VRFs, SD-WAN, Integration with public cloud providers (AWS / Azure)
  • Advanced knowledge of network layer security including: Firewalls, 802.1.x, Network Authentication Systems, SD-WAN and VPN/Remote Access solutions
  • Experienced in ITSM and Change Control Environment
