Job Description

Pay Rate $20-$21 an hour

The Human Resource Communications Administrator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the DC human resources department. The role provides direct administrative support to the Sr. Director, Human Resources.

Under general supervision, performs a variety of responsible and complex technical and administrative duties relating to personnel functions and programs including in the areas of employee relations, benefits administration, employment recruitment, along with providing information and assistance to DC employees and the public regarding human resources activities, processes, policies, and procedures, Will prepare various correspondence and memoranda as well as performs a variety of tasks requiring specialized knowledge related to area of assignment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist Human Resources leaders in developing and implementing a communications strategy designed to further company objectives. 
  • Will be responsible for creating media publications, e.g., DC safety topics, newsletter, employee of the month, promotions, birthday, anniversary announcements, via postings, Marque, etc.
  • Stay up to date on communication trends to drive engagement and make recommendations for adjustments to communications strategies and practices.
  • Assist with recruiting events, posting of job openings, conversion of temporary labor as needed.
  • Plans and supports DC wide information meetings such as safety meetings, new hire orientations, job & health fairs, open enrollment, etc.
  • Research company and department initiatives 
  • May assist HR Trainer (as needed) with scheduling and preparation of DC trainings.
  • Will meet with the HR leadership on a weekly basis to discuss weekly goals/activity that require immediate action.
  • Support front lobby breaks and lunches as needed.

  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to work proactively and provide administrative support for building systemic processes and methodologies.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of database design, spreadsheets, and business formatting.
  • Must possess a high degree of loyalty and dedication to the department, upholding confidentiality, professionalism, integrity, and credibility.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of urgency and organization.
  • Must possess strong communication skills and interpersonal relationships.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to cooperate, work and communicate with executive management and coworkers.
  • Ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely
  • Must have a broad comprehension of Human Resources and its basic concepts

  • Computer knowledge and proficiency including Company specific programs, minimum typing speed of 45 wpm.
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • CAL OSHA certified on equipment according to department specifications, golf cart certification
  • Ability to assist in keeping the department OSHA Compliant
  • Knowledge of all company policies and procedures, e.g., safety, etc.
  • Ability to contribute hands on
