Job Description

The Visual Merchandiser helps to drive sales by developing compelling visual merchandising presentation direction, product flows, windows and big initiative launches.  Focuses on providing standards and direction to stores to provide the customers with a world class in-store shopping experience. They will use sales data and analytics to recommend product categories to feature in stores. The Visual Merchandiser works directly with the Visual Director, as well as the Product and Allocations teams to understand product focuses and timing of deliveries.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS -

  • Assists in developing the window presentations and seasonal product flow/plan-o-grams for all store types.
  • Partners closely with allocations, planners, and buyers to ensure the Product aligns with the planned calendar.
  • Assists in the mapping and planning of product flow and merchandising and visual floor sets.
  • Creates comprehensive visual merchandising guides so stores can easily understand direction and execute consistently. Coordinates and collaborates with store operations to ensure the timely delivery and allocation of all footwear visual components and graphics for new and existing stores.
  • Runs reports weekly and maintains constant communication with the Allocations and Buying teams to ensure that all product styles planned for window displays is delivered to stores on time. Runs GZ reports to understand product selling, units on hand as well as units in transit.
  • Maintains department Visual planning calendars
  • Maintains the visual displays and execution in the Corporate Mock Store. 
  • Reviews bi-weekly high-profile store photos and provide feedback to Visual Manager and Directors.
  • Maintain Visual presentation standards manuals. 
  • Frequently visits local high-profile stores and provides feedback to Visual Manager and Directors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess above-average computer skills including Excel, Photoshop, In-Design, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of expense awareness and control, strong affinity for numbers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Must have the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Must display a high degree of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Footwear or apparel industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend floor plans and work with our store designers understanding the limitations we have with graphics.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-

  • College degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years in a retail visual merchandising role or in a retail store management role.
  • Ability to conceptualize and create visually appealing displays
  • Demonstrate a high degree of expense awareness and control, strong affinity for numbers
  • High level of initiative, detail oriented, flexibility and a high sense of urgency
  • Develop strong interpersonal relationships 
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently.  
  • Excellent follow up and time-management skills.

The pay range for this position is $65K/year
