Job Description

The Visual Merchandising Operations Coordinator will support the global visual teams/ Point of Purchase (POP) operations work flow and the shipping and logistics of display merchandise.  In collaboration with the Visual Merchandising Team and Global Distribution Centers, Shipping and Receiving, Imports and Exports, Allocations, and Data Entry, this position will work to provide efficient communication and maintenance of operations systems and documents to help keep the Visual Merchandising Team on track and progressing forward.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS:

  • Provide accurate and concise delivery logistics information
  • Track and ensure on-time delivery of shipments
  • Create/update Purchase Orders as needed
  • Set-up all new POP styles in Purchase Order system (Peoplesoft)
  • Maintain/update POP Master Catalog
  • Maintain/update PO Work In Progress (WIP) report
  • First point of contact for all vendors to provide shipping instructions and packaging direction
  • First point of contact for all vendors to maintain shipping schedule
  • Process Booking Reports in Smartview
  • Create New POP Memos for internal distribution and Sales Team
  • Update receiver report for the International team
  • Update monthly POP menu summary reports
  • Order POP through Data Entry as needed
  • Create and manage style lists and set-up (Garpac & Compass)
  • Create and process Auto Shipments to support accounts with new initiatives
  • Manage maintenance of the POP item display on internal website (itsthes.com)
  • Format and distribute Inventory Reports for global Distribution Centers

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare reports as needed
  • Attend meetings as needed
  • Attend sales conference as needed (local)

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (expanding columns, v-lookups, pivot tables, sorting, filtering, conditional formatting, etc.)
  • Must have experience working in Outlook, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Position will work on Desktop programs only (will not work on MAC)
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills, with strong attention to detail to prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative, a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationship among all cross-functional groups
  • Ability to speak and present ideas in front of a group.
  • Must display a high degree of professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have at least 3 – 5 years of experience in operations or sales support in a corporate environment.
  • A BA or AA in business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Footwear or apparel industry experience is preferred.
  • Favorable skill to speak 2 or more languages. (English & Spanish)
