Job Description

Skechers is looking for a Quality Engineer in the IT Department. Skechers IT division is transforming our engineering practice by embracing high-performing, cloud native APIs and applications using a modern technology stack that includes serverless, microservices, containers, seamless integrations, automation, and zero-touch delivery pipelines. As a Quality Engineer, you will utilize superior knowledge and experience to be part of the HR modernization initiative to test the core Workday applications & utilize tool to automate the regression tests. Additionally, ensure the integrations between HR systems and other systems like Point-of-Sale (POS), Financial Systems, Order Management System (OMS), etc. We are seeking a hands-on, detailed-oriented person to oversee the testing of our software products and platform as part of a collaborative team in an agile development environment.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-

  • Direct the effective implementation of the automated solutions with a primary focus on HR modernization (Workday) and other systems across IT.
  • Define and implement test automation architecture and frameworks, ensure scalability of automation and continuous integration across solutions. 
  • Develop automated regression tests that are robust, scalable, and resilient in the face of system changes for IT applications from scratch.
  • Develop and improve processes and procedures that address all aspects of the QE program.
  • Conduct the testing to execute functional, system integration, non-functional, and/or stage deployment testing.
  • Conduct automated and manual testing of new and existing software to maintain high quality standards, with a focus on effective use of automation.
  • Manage QA coding standards and frameworks and improve adoption of industry standard practices in IT Quality engineering department.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, DevOps and business stakeholders in defining and scoping software features and testing the acceptance criteria.
  • Track, document, and report quality KPIs and metrics. Maintain test metrics, applying lessons learned and continuous process improvements.
  • Ensure accurate reporting for projects, test automation status is sent out regularly.
  • Mentor and develop junior QA engineers as the team expands.

Qualifications

Job Requirements -

  • Self-Starter with hands-on experience in testing HR implementations and associated integrations.
  • Strong preference to have experience in testing Workday/UKG Dimensions.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with deep experience in testing techniques/approaches
  • Some experience in developing, maintaining, and executing complex and multi-solution automation tests is desirable.
  • Experience in integration testing with 3rd party and in-house applications.
  • Experience in API, AWS, and Micro-services testing.
  • Experience in deriving the test strategy for Service / Layer level testing.
  • Experience in deriving the test estimates, planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Experience in deriving the test strategy for Service / Integration Layer level testing for ex: Web services.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills, quick learner
  • Creative problem solver who can often work independently with little supervision and as part of a team.
  • Validate data flow throughout application workflow (end to end).
  • Experience with test automation using tools like AccelQ, UFT, Selenium, ReadyAPI, SOAPUI, etc
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Self-Starter with hands-on testing experience in Workday and related Integrations
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience testing HR implementations
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with deep experience in testing techniques/approaches
  • Experience with end-to-end testing - Testing Planning, Test Execution, UAT, Regression
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, remaining agile and flexible in a challenging environment and managing multiple competing priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Workday Certification (plus)
  • 2+ years Test Automation experience in HR systems (plus)
  • 2+ years of experience testing Workday integrations and Reports Experience (plus)

The salary range for this position is $85,000-$130,000/year.
