Pay $19.00 an hour and you must have a valid Riverside County food handlers' card.

This is a full-time position located in Southern California

• Must have experience with cooking and working in a restaurant environment.
• Will assist the Management team with opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment according to restaurants standardized recipes.
• Complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
• Prepares item for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
• Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
• Handle, store and rotate all products properly.
• Perform other general duties as required

 Opening

• Unlock and unsecure the café as required
• Make sure FOH/BOH is ready for opening
• Turn on appliance as required
• Make sure food is stocked on the line as required
• Make sure food prep and assignments are planned out
• Make sure register is ready
• Work with management staff on food inventory
• Work with management staff on Café supplies
• Be able to work FOH/BOH as needed

Closing

• Make sure all monies accounted for
• Make sure food prep for the next day is complete
• Make sure the café is cleaned to health department standards FOH/BOH
• Make sure Trash has been thrown out
• Make sure all kitchen appliances are shut down as required
• Make sure oil is changed out or strained as required
• Make sure all foods wrapped, sealed, and stored appropriately
• Make sure all dishes have been cleaned and stored
• Be able to lock up and secure the café as required
