Job Description

We are looking for an Intern Data Architect with an understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and data engineering concepts; Good understanding of RDBMS and NoSQL data stores too. As a member of our Data Services team you will be mentored by peers who are responsible for continuing organizational expansion of our data processing projects. 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-

The successful candidate will be both self-motivated and collaborative as is necessary to operate in the realm of enterprise technology projects, interacting with team members and vendors to resolve issues quickly.

  • Collaborate by building existing knowledge base in Confluence and creating LucidChart flows
  • Understand the business process flow and data flow across systems
  • Design the end to end data flow for the data engineering pipelines by thinking broad and high level.
  • Understand the data warehousing and data modeling concepts so to build the appropriate data models for data analytics and data consumption.
  • Get involved in the development of ETL/ELT to deliver data for reporting, troubleshoot and resolve production data integrity and performance issues
  • Develop SQL scripts work with script languages (Python, shell etc.) to wrap applications execution
  • Support various Data Platform Applications and Data Warehouse Applications

JOB REQUIREMENTS-

  • Basic understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, data analytics (reporting and dashboarding), and data engineering (ETL/ELT pipelines) concepts
  • Basic understanding of data stores with some experience in working with SQL and elementary knowledge in script languages (Python, shell etc.) is a plus
  • Basic understanding of Cloud technologies AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Write technology specs and documentation
  • Conceptual understanding of how an ETL/ELT works
  • Overall excitement in learning new technologies in the data ecosystem

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-

  • On track for a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Pay for this position is $25.00/hour.
