Job Description

Supports all facets of Retail Marketing including promotions, advertising, events, and campaigns. Initiatives will be directed at creating awareness, driving traffic to stores, customer retention, and conversion. Drive loyalty campaigns and customer acquisition within stores.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-

  • Assist in the planning and execution of new store opening advertising campaigns to increase awareness, drive traffic, and accelerate growth.
  • Execute localized store/market-specific advertising to support stores including billboards, digital, radio, direct mail, and grassroots campaigns.
  • Research costs and create event budgets. Manage expenses closely to ensure campaigns stay within approved budget.
  • Champion new retail services to communicate benefit to customers and encourage adoption through in-store collateral and/or digital channels.
  • Test effectiveness of new campaigns in select stores. Design mockups and develop prototypes for new test programs.
  • Provide direction to Graphics department to develop creative and manage the process from inception to execution. Ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Recap campaigns with written analysis in a timely manner. Analyze data and make recommendations based on results.
  • Work with the Digital team to advertise and support campaigns with email and SMS.
  • Communicate new initiatives to the field through written communication or videos.
  • Monitor competitor advertising and stay abreast of industry innovations that may be used to better Skechers' campaigns.
  • Lead the ongoing growth and measurement of the SKECHERS PLUS Loyalty Rewards Customer base and develop Marketing campaigns to ensure program is delivering value to Retail customers
  • Lead the creation of customer e-mails, text messages and in-store graphics assets to enhance the customer journey strategies and drive the loyalty marketing calendar.

JOB REQUIREMENTS-

  • Must have a strong command of Microsoft Office and understanding of retail calculations.
  • Must have the ability to analyze data, provide insights, and make recommendations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

  • Possesses confidence overseeing event execution including managing staff and vendors on-site.

  • Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships and work with outside vendors, field staff, and other departments cross-functionally on projects to success.
  • Must display a high degree of professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-

  • 2-4 years marketing experience including multiple facets of marketing i.e. retail, event production, advertising, loyalty, and digital.
  • BS or BA in Marketing or related experience.
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic to advanced proficiency of Adobe Photoshop.
  • Basic understanding of email and social management tools preferred, but not required.
  • Retail experience preferred, but not required.
