Job Description

 

  • Assist in manage warehouse activities.
  • Ensures employee compliance to protocols and standards.
  • Assists the department by providing direction and training to employees within their work team, ensuring production rates, quality, and service goals are achieved.
  • Warehouse Management System experience and the ability to learn Skechers’ customized PKMS.
  • Pyramid Control Systems experience and the ability to learn Skechers' Warehouse Control System.
  • Monitors work team for safety policy compliance, housekeeping, and demonstration of safe work behaviors.
  • Assist in overseeing a large group of 50+ employees performing various job duties.
  • Constant communication with other departments to ensure entire building meets goals in sync.
  • Keeps managers informed of production rates, training needs, performance issues, improvement suggestions, and personnel issues.
  • Performs production function within assigned work group at the established rate.
  • Consistently lead by example; demonstrate a strong work ethic, initiative, professional maturity, and dependability.
  • Drive the department for optimum productivity while maintaining high standards for quality.
  • Constantly looking for Continuous Improvement plans to implement more efficient operational SOP’s.
  • Maintains record of product movement and task completion with PKMS system. 
  • Work closely with our partners at the corporate office to ensure that all work is completed on a timely basis while maintaining a high level of service.
  • Monitor daily shipping schedules to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Monitor tickets status inquiries to ensure that orders are completed and located accordingly.
  • Perform SWC inquiries to follow up on progress with hot orders
  • Partners with the Human Resources Department regarding reviews, interviewing, hiring,   
  • terminations, and corrective counseling within responsible area.
  • Assists in the recruitment, hiring, promoting, and terminating processes as needed.
  • Trains old employees to ensure that their skills are at par with the newest warehouse   
  • standards and regulations.
  • Assist in training employees to become a valuable part of the team.
  • Learning the process as it relates to reviewing employee performances and provides feedback and suggestions for  
  • improvement.
  • Learning the process as it relates to recruiting, interviewing, selecting, onboarding and training new employees.
  • Learn the skills needed to motivate others to grow and be better; elevating the team
  • Learn quick and appropriate resolution of all challenges, discrepancies or miscommunications
  • Dedication to maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization    
  • standards.

Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical and math skills required

  • Good oral and written communication skills (Bilingual a plus)

  • CAL OSHA certified on a Reach, Order Picker and/or Turret Truck, Pallet Jack equipment according to department specifications
  • Experience using RF on a WMS system required, PKMS specifically preferred
  • PC, MS Office experience required
  • Good conceptual knowledge of relational database
  • Data Entry (Alpha and Numeric min. 8,000+ keystrokes)
  • Typing min. 45 WPM
  • Ability to keep the department OSHA Compliant
  • Ability to contribute hands on
