Job Description

Skecher’s Digital Team is seeking a Digital Mobile App Senior Engineer reporting to the Digital Loyalty Solutions Architect. As the Mobile App Senior Engineer, you will lead a team of iOS/Android engineers to deliver high-powered, cutting-edge native mobile app to support rapid growth of Skechers Digital. Skechers mobile app is the heart of our loyalty program, Skechers Plus. You will work collaboratively with product owners, fellow engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders to create consumer facing mobile native apps that are both scalable and robust. The ideal candidate will be a strong engineer who have full-stack technical knowledge of mobile app ecosystem and the ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-

  • Responsible for the full development operation life cycle of mobile app (iOS and Android) which includes:

o Technical Solutioning and Design

o Code / Unit Test / Code Review

o Continuous Integration / Delivery Pipeline

o Technical Operations / Analytics / Monitors / Alerts

  • Provide oversight for app engineers within a cross-functional teams to deliver engaging mobile app capabilities.
  • Guide the team in lean agile engineering best practice including estimating stories, grooming backlog, and breaking down epics.
  • Work with product owner to refine feature requirements.
  • Mentor mobile app engineers to ensure they have everything necessary to perform their duties.
  • Eliminate impediments to ensure team goals are met.
  • Provide guidance on technical direction, perform technology analysis, and make recommendations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS-

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 4+ years of experience of full stack development on iOS/Android.
  • 3+ years of experience of integration and/or developing micro services on AWS.
  • Expert knowledge in Swift and Kotlin.
  • Experience w/ iOS Human Interface Guideline and Android Material Design
  • Experience w/ Firebase & Google Analytics 4
  • Experience w/ Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C w/ API preferred.
  • Knowledge of digital commerce components such as users, catalog, pricing, inventory, and payment.
  • Knowledge of integration with CMS, DAM, PIM, OMS, and ERP
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience with git source control and collaboration tool such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Teams
  • Experience with agile development methodology
  • Experience with app frameworks.
  • Experience with app speed optimization.
  • Experience and working knowledge of secure development practices.
  • Experience with Jenkins is a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The salary range for this position is $70,000-$155,000/year.
