Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To support the Joint Venture team ensuring that the business’ inventory needs are fulfilled and inventory is optimized.  This role will work closely with Planning Manager to plan, analyze, and communicate inventory levels reacting to business trends from an analytical and planning perspective; managing OTB and analyzing sales at the gender/division/style/sku level.  The Senior Planner is responsible for communicating and executing strategies for respective countries China and Hong Kong business channels (Normal stores-Retail/Franchisees/Wholesale, Outlet stores- Retail/Franchisees/Wholesale, and Ecommerce).

To analyze sales and inventory position, manage merchandise assortments/plans, 

provide constructive analysis and direction to Merchandiser’s/JV Team on the gender/division/department level for all channels of business (Concept/Outlet stores; SIS’s; Franchisees concept/SIS’s; Kids Distributor’s channels; ecommerce and Wholesale Sport accounts).

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

 ∙ Communicate and follow-up with JV Team regularly to collect sales/inventory data and ensure accuracy of information.    

∙ Analyze weekly/monthly/quarterly and seasonally sales and inventory data to identify opportunities and risks by gender/division/department/style.

∙ Communicate all relevant analysis, suggestions, and buy strategies to Merchandiser’s and JV Team in a timely manner.  

∙ Develop and implement reports to analyze key items and categories.

∙ Plan sales and forecast appropriate inventory levels by season for key company initiatives, and closely monitor on a weekly/monthly basis.

∙ Analyze booking reports to identify opportunity and devise seasonal/annual projections by customer and category.

∙ Create assortment plans by gender/division/department for new stores, and collaborate with Merchandisers.

∙ Track sales for all channel of business to assess comp and total performance over last year and use as testimonials for selling in product to JV Team. Work with Analysis team/IT Department to streamline data and automate reports, as appropriate.  

∙ Participate in company and brand initiatives as appropriate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Computer proficiency with knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc)

• Strong analytical skills

• Ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced environment

• Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills

• Proactive, aggressive, takes the initiative to drive business.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree

 

  • 8-10 years planning/analyst experience

• Bachelor’s Degree

 

• 5 years planning/analyst experience

 

• 2 years of buying experience preferred
