Job Description

JOB PURPOSE-

To support the Imports Department with administrative tasks.The Imports Department is responsible for tracking the import of product from factories via air and ocean from port of departure to the Distribution Center for timely shipment of customer orders. Interface with Distribution Center, Production, Customs Broker, Drayage Carrier and Forwarder to ensure timely shipping and receiving of production. As well as Drayage invoice auditing.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-

  • Provide Administrative support for the Imports Department
  • Create and audit trucking invoices
  • Create reports using in house program and Excel
  • Communicate with other Departments and entities to exchange information

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES-

  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Update and maintain Department policies and procedures
  • Assist with administrative tasks for the Data Entry Department

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES-

  • No

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS-

  • Proficient in MS Office (mainly Excel & Word)
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-

  • College Degree preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in Imports, Office Administration or other related fields
  • Computer Applications
