Job Description

With a goal of presenting Skechers as the global footwear leader that it is and The Comfort Technology Company, the Product Copywriter will ensure our product content presents our brand in an accurate and compelling way. Works closely with co-product copywriter, the copy team, product and retail departments to ensure accuracy and key styles and features are represented, as well as various other departments in the company. Also works with SEO/Digital teams to ensure keywords are featured. Additionally, will work on bi-annual catalogs and email blasts for


  • Write compelling and engaging products for U.S. and International websites
  • Ensuring that the company’s content presents the actual picture of the products and is also consistent with the brand
  • Ability to think creatively, translating ideas and visual concepts into copy
  • Translating product to other medium such as catalogs
  • Collaborative, with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proactive in nature, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Must be extremely detail minded but also creative with catalog and email copy
  • Ensure all International sites are getting current products translated and on site
  • Write clear, engaging copy for each target audience
  • Proof own work and others
  • Strong Organizational skills, ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple priorities and projects at once.

  • Understanding key SEO terms as well as key terms for the product
  • Knowledge of AIP style
  • HTMC desired but not vital
  • Detail oriented

  • Excellent communicator
  • Excellent written/verbal, time management and quantitative/analytical skills required


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, or related field
  • 2+ years of professional writing and editing experience
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office – primarily Excel
  • Understanding of COMPASS, Sales Force and or like systems desired
