Job Description

As the Associate Material & Color Specialist, you will be responsible for the coordination, review, and filing of labdip and material submits for all Apparel categories.  You will partner closely with Design teams, Product Development teams, and Material team.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

  • Manage seasonal color library in PLM
  • Collaborate with Design team creating seasonal brand color palette by researching, organizing, ordering and distributing color swatches.
  • Manage trim, color and print reference standards library.
  • Use the Spectralight light box for all color reviews.
  • Experience using a Spectrometer is a plus.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Design, Product Development, Production, etc.
  • Order, receive and maintain all color Pantones/Pantone Books.
  • Maintain approval and rejection records for all color submitted by mills and factories
  • Provide color support and comments in color approval process with design and sourcing
  • Maintain seasonal color reference library for lap dips, bulk swatches and the master color book.
  • Build and oversee the development and maintenance of the materials library.
  • Partner with overseas material team to ensure MB team has most up to date material swatches and costing in fabric library

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in the Apparel Industry
