Job Description

As a member with SKECHERS USA, Inc IT team, this person will be responsible for supporting ITSM team to develop, document, train, and maintain Software Asset Management process on the ServiceNow Platform.

The primary responsibility of Software Asset Analyst is to define, document, monitor, and analyze software asset lifecycle to streamline and implement process efficiencies within Skechers environment. They will be required to analyze business requirements and be able to perform gap analysis to define and design future state flow with a focus on process integration and automation specifically on the ServiceNow Platform.

The Software Asset Analyst should be a process-oriented individual with a data-centric decision-making focus to support and justify potential process improvements while tracking value, optimization and ROI of software assets. They should drive process evolution and implement a continual improvement cycle.

The selected candidate will support the ITSM team in collaboration with other functional areas of IT to facilitate process engagement and workshops to collect the workflow artifacts needed for digitization of software asset management within ServiceNow platform.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-

  • Improve productivity and maximize return on investment by optimizing software costs
  • Develop, implement, and refine Asset Management processes and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all software license agreements and software usage
  • Participate in procurement activities and negotiations as required
  • Support exception process for non-standard software requests
  • Participate in development program to understand what additional software applications need to be packaged and associated timeline
  • Drive retroactive replacement once software is packaged to streamline versions
  • Partner in the creation of support materials for GSD/DSS
  • Develop and introduce standards list to support Software Asset Management standards and governance
  • Assist with the development and implementation of reporting to optimize internal efficiencies and support dedicated asset management
  • Perform data scrub to clean up applications and drive requirements for technology- automated reclamation process
  • Drive management of usage monitoring and related support processes

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Two (2) plus years of experience in defining, updating, deploying, and managing software asset process, roles and technology to support (ITAM) practices.
  • Strong experience with ServiceNow Platform
  • Experience with automation tools to enrich the integrations and drive operational excellence
  • Demonstrated experience with Software Asset Management Life Cycles to deliver optimization of software asset business outcomes throughout organizations.
  • Strong skills with building workflow diagrams, communications flow, models, and SLAs
  • Experience in translating process user requirements to technical process stories for development.
  • Ability to analyze process data and synthesize the data to create metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Working ability to coordinate with external partner relationship management

Additional Knowledge & Skills;

  •  Ability for cross-functional influencing skills; driving disparate teams to align on integrated goals
  • Experience with Agile and other development methodologies
  • Familiarity or basic working knowledge of IT production processes, such as change management, configuration management, release management, and lifecycle management
  • Ability to demonstrate process analysis, strong interpersonal skills, and team orientation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a software asset analyst or related role in a corporate environment; or equivalent related professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or the recognized equivalent in work experience
  • Possess a deep understanding of Software Asset Management standard methodologies, including heavy software license management focus.
  • Individual has performed Asset Management process improvement and is able to amend/produce procedures as well as lead the rollout of those processes.
  • Familiar with, or industry knowledge of ServiceNow and App Portal
  • In addition to the above skills; ITIL V3 Foundation, ITIL Service Transition, and Asset Management tool knowledge
