Job Description

We are hiring an IT Service Desk Representative to accomplish the following mission: Provide support, advice and resolutions of IT issues to end-users across all levels of our Iberia subsidiary remotely and face to face.

The IT Service Desk Representative will have the following duties and responsibilities: 

  • Support & Setup of Retail POS Systems onsite and remotely throughout Spain and Portugal as required
  • Respond to calls, emails and personnel requests for technical support via IT Ticketing System
  • Provide support to internal users as required.
  • Identify, research and resolve problems reported by Retail Stores
  • Document/update tickets and escalate to appropriate team(s) as required
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software including portable and handheld devices.
  • Document procedures and update the knowledge base as required.
  • Follow through to job completions.
  • Assisting other team members or subsidiaries as required.

Qualifications

  • Focused and able to work independently and in a team environment (Essential)
  • Quick learner, able to grasp concepts and apply knowledge
  • Proficient in managing tasks and following through in a detailed and organised manner (Essential)
  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills, dealing with varying levels of seniority
  • Exceptional communication skills and work ethic.
  • Commercial working knowledge of Windows 7 & 10 (Unix/Linux and Networking) (Desirable)
  • Commercial experience in 1st and 2nd line support
  • Proficiency in MS 2010/2016 particularly Outlook 2010 & 2016
  • Experience in hardware and software installations, configuration and troubleshooting (Essential)
  • Experience in Retail Point of Sale systems (Desirable)
  • Good exposure to Active Directory user administration, Photoshop and SQL (Desirable)
  • Degree educated in a technical discipline or equivalent number of years experience
  • English and Spanish language skills are essential, Portuguese desirable and fluency in other European languages an advantage
  • Provide on-call support as part of a team rota (Essential)
