    About the IT Service Desk Support Role

    Provide technical support, advice and resolutions of IT issues to end-users, including internal and external customers across all levels of the company and Skechers retail stores, using the ServiceNow portal, remotely and face to face. You must possess excellent communication skills and able to work effectively within a team.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities of the IT Service Desk Support Role

    • Respond to telephone calls, emails and ServiceNow requests for technical support.
    • Create, track and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution.
    • Escalate issues to the appropriate group when needed.
    • Identify, research and resolve problems reported by end-users.
    • Support Aptos Retail POS System.
    • Write tickets and assign jobs to the appropriate IT personnel.
    • Administer user accounts.
    • Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software, including portable and handheld devices.
    • Document procedures in order to use them in our knowledge base.

    Qualifications

    Core skills as an IT Desk Support Role

    • Proficiency in all Windows OS/10, MS 2007/2010/2013, Server 2016/2019, Office 365 and various e-mail clients.
    • Proficient in managing tasks and following through in a detailed and organised manner.
    • Experience with Help Desk/end-user support experience.
    • Excellent customer service, problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Focused and able to work independently and in a team environment
    • Working knowledge of networking.
    • Experience in Retail Point of Sale and hardware and software installations, configurations and troubleshooting that includes handheld devices.
    • Capable of learning quickly.
    • Experience in Active Directory User Administration, Macintosh and SQL (desirable)
    • A.S. degree or higher or proven years of experience
    • Linux experience is a bonus.
    • Must be able to work weekends.
    • English language is essential with other languages an advantage.
