Job Description

Skechers is seeking a full-time User Experience (UX) Manager to join the Digital team located in Manhattan Beach, CA.

This position is responsible for supporting Skechers global e-commerce websites by enhancing and delivering new UX functionalities that streamline experiences, increase engagement and improve conversion. In this role, you’ll leverage your experience in design, usability testing, concepting, and wireframing to help redefine the Skechers online shopping experience.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a working knowledge of emerging and innovative user interface trends to identify opportunities for customers to discover and explore products. You’ll work closely with management and cross functional teams to provide design strategy for multiple projects to deliver solutions that meet the needs of both the business and customer. 

You’ll leverage analytical tools in addition to quantitative and qualitative research to inform and drive design decisions and accelerate digital product development.  You’ll work with senior management, front-end developers and QA teams to translate concepts into innovative solutions that are consistent with Skechers brand standards. You’ll help create designs to be implemented on the US website while creating customizations as needed to support differences in locale and language requirements for Skechers growing international e-commerce business.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the design, development and implementation of website experiences.
  • Translate concepts and ideas into user flows, webpage wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for multiple viewports.
  • Work with the product owner, front end developers, and QA team to deliver new features and capabilities.
  • Manage a Jira backlog of work requests, regularly reprioritizing work from management and other UX designers.
  • Present UX / UI concepts to cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Create design for components that leverage video, live text, motion, and interactive functionality for desktop/tablet/mobile viewports.
  • Leverage data from CRO practices, analytics and AB testing tools to make design decisions.
  • Collaborate with Customer Care and Retail teams to identify points of friction and provide recommendations to streamline the shopping experience.
  • Maintain style guide and design system library files.
  • Develop ad-hoc designs and mockups as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of professional UX experience in E-Commerce is a must.
  • Extensive experience in usability testing and UX design.
  • Proficiency in Sketch, InVision, style guides, design systems, and brand standards.
  • Experience working developers with Jira and agile development methodologies with the ability to translate design into code (HTML, CSS, JS, etc.).
  • Strong UX design portfolio that demonstrates consumer focused design solutions with a mobile-first mindset.
  • Working knowledge of UX practices to support multiple international languages.
  • Experience leveraging customer behavioral data from CRO and AB testing tools such as Hotjar, Heap, Google Analytics, Optimizely, Monetate, etc.
  • Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to pivot for last-minute ad-hoc requests.
  • Proficient in English language with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to lead conversations and navigate feedback from stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience and working knowledge of SEO a plus.

The employee is regularly required to lift a 35 - 40lb dress form for garment evaluations.
